Rogue Legacy 2: How to Unlock Double Jump

Get Echo’s Boots

The first step toward obtaining Aether’s Wings is to track down Echo’s Boots, an Heirloom that adds functionality to a player’s Spin Kick. More specifically, fans that have collected Echo’s Boots will be able to use their Spin Kicks to interact with Resonant objects, and the move will also reset their air dashes. Here are details on how Rogue Legacy 2 players can get their hands on this important Heirloom:

Get to the first room of Axis Mundi, the biome to the right of Citadel Agartha. There is a door in the top-right corner of this room, and players should use Spin Kick and Dash on the nearby lanterns to reach it. Roguelite fans must now climb to the top of a tower, using Spin Kick on the thorns that line the walls to get height. Notably, players can force these thorns to reappear by entering and exiting one of the many doors in the tower. Upon reaching the top of the tower, fans should jump off its left side and hug the exterior wall as they fall to reach the Insight trial where Echo’s Boots are earned.

Reach Kerguelen Plateau and Find Insight

After obtaining Echo’s Boots, players should continue through Axis Mundi and defeat its boss to reach the Kerguelen Plateau. Indie video game fans that travel to the right in this biome will eventually reach a cliff that overlooks a body of water. The surface of this water acts as a Resonant object, and players can now use their improved Spin Kick to continue to the right. Ultimately, fans that travel in this direction will reach an Insight, and they will earn Aether’s Wings for completing its trial.

With the ability to double jump earned, players will be able to easily access areas that they may have not yet explored. One of those areas is likely to be the Stygian Study, which is above Citadel Agartha. While it is true that fans can enter the Study before they have collected Aether’s Wings, the Heirloom makes it simpler for all classes in Rogue Legacy 2 to do so.
